In this session Gregory Smith will be joined by two other guests to discuss the current developments in the financing of renewable energy infrastructure projects. In particular, the Green Energy Act introduced in 2009 set the stage for a comprehensive Feed-in-Tariff (FIT) and MicroFIT program. The FIT and MicroFIT program has escalated the prominence of renewable power in Ontario and the integration of real estate and renewable power investment. Roof top solar installation projects, including industrial, commercial and residential properties are currently being aggressively pursued by a number of developers and property owners. The panelists will provide you with the key factors you need to identify and examine when considering to invest in these projects.
